It Was My Birtday

So it was my birthday today. I am rather enjoying how my day turned out.
At first, it was difficult to get out of bed and to wake up properly. I tried waking up as early I managed (I had gotten home like at 3 at night the previous day) or I wouldn't be getting anything done. That would be no good though.

So sometime before noon I got a call from Gato to hang out together as she was back in Tartu. In an hour and likely even more I managed to get up and be wake enough and be ready to and meet up with her at Tasku. And as I had lost my hat the night before, I was walking around with my college cap for a while. I found some nice tights in Tasku. It was even half-price. Which joy. As there was the ACTA protest starting soon, we went to Raekojaplats to see what is happening there. I didn't happen to see any people I knew. Well, there were quite a lot people so it was difficult to really find anybody. We were standing there for a while (meanwhile also had met up with someone Gato knew). My shoes aren't exactly the warmest which equals my feet freezing pretty quickly. In addition, I wasn't wearing a hat either as I felt for a college cap this event wouldn't be quite appropriate. Before I made some photos though.

 Cute snowmen.
 They even had various signs.
 And were being all cool.
 'Course there were people too.

These Statues had aluminum hats again. (And that's me posing there)

Then we went to Seppäla where it was nicely warm. Felt nicer than being outside in the cold. We browsed around there a bit and I even bought a new hat (A 60% discount!). I don't need my old one any more. Heh. I wanted to get a new hat anyway. Like this I had more of a reason to actually go through with it. Otherwise I would be like "I want a new hat but the old one is perfectly wearable still..."

So I was warm and we went back to the protest. Nothing too much was going on and making our way to the front of the stage wasn't quite anything we were fancying too much. Our next plan was to go and drink some sake instead of freezing there. Back to Tasku it was. On our way we went to an other store, where I bought a wine class for one euro. Score! I was in need one and yay. It was just perfect.

Sake. Japanese restaurant. We ended up not getting sake. It was a "tad" expensive. Especially for one shot. But no, me and Gato were not about to go there and not order anything alcoholic at all. Plum wine and Sushi wine are quite the Japanese drinks too. After having a try, we decided both were also good. Plum wine was really sweet and fruity, Sushi wine was sort of dry and not as sweet but good nonetheless.

 Our drinks arrived.
 Look, look, classy, ain't it?
See, there are even ice cubes in the plum wine!
 Oh hai, that's me.

We didn't just go drinking there in broad daylight, some food was also needed. To my sushi wine I got a Noodle bento from the kiddie menu. Don't they just fit together perfectly. I ended up eating it like a child too. The fish-sticks are uber cute. RAWR!

 Noodle bento for kids.
 The food and drinks.
 Gato got herself toriyaki soba.
 The view from the place.
 It's really wonderful.

I got to talk lots with Gato at the restaurant. I was seriously happy to have met up with her today. It was also wonderful that I got so many messages from different people wishing me happy birthday and even several text messages. That was just ahhhhhh~ I am glad people remembered and bothered. *touched so much*

Afterwards we both went home. More like, I went to my dorm and cleaned up there. Took shower and had beautiful hair again. (After wearing a wig for most of the day, the hair isn't that fantastic anymore.)

I had a choice to go to a aquitance's birthday party or staying the night at Gato's. The birthday party sure would have been fun. There were a lot of people from the anime club. But as it was my birthday and I am sort of broke anyway and Gato is just so awesome and she made my day and and and. It was fun to hang around. So after I had been a bit at my dorm, my decision fell on Gato.

It took a while with the cleaning but I managed and when it was evening and dark outside I finally moved my ass outside. When walking to the bus stop and encountered these statues again. They had changed their style a tad.

 We are stylish, hell yeah!

I found the right bus just fine and got to her place just fine. I even got a slice of a swiss roll with a smal candle on it when I arrived. That was seriously sweet. And drinking lemonade from a wine class, heh. Wonderful nonetheless. And we got to talk lots again and then we were watching the Swedish prefinals of Eurovision. Ulrik Munther's song was really nice. I am rooting for him. And  then later one also drinking cider from a wine glass, pfff.

Either way, the day was a success. Everything went better than expected. And I need to dive into a new day now!
